    Annual General Meeting and Presentation by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection Inc.

    On May 1st, 2025, MASP will be hosting a half day Professional Development for members only. This presentation will be hosted at the Manitoba Teachers’ Society Building at 191 Harcourt St. from 1:00 pm through 3:15 pm. Karyn Kibsey from the Canadian Centre for Child Protection Inc. will present, “The Risks and Trends in Online Use and Recommendations for Supporting Youth and Parents.”

    This presentation will be provided in person at the Manitoba Teachers’ Society Building, 191 Harcourt Street, Winnipeg MB. This presentation will also be available virtually but will not be recorded.

    The AGM will follow the presentation and begin promptly for all registered MASP members at 3:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

    Further information for this free presentation for members only will be available in April with a link for registration. We look forward to seeing you!

    MASP would like to honour an individual who displays an outstanding contribution to the practice of psychology in the schools and/or innovation resulting in a positive change in the lives of children and adolescents.

    This is your call to think of and nominate that one Psychology colleague who deserves to receive the MASP Award of Excellence this year. Your nominee could be a School Psychologist who has come up with some innovative service delivery ideas or one whom you have observed to consistently do excellent work. The brief nomination form can be found here Nomination-Form.2024 and should be sent to the President.

    We know there are lots of people doing amazing work out there and MASP would love to recognize them.

    Nominations must be submitted by January 31st, 2025.

    On October 25th, 2024, the Manitoba Association of School Psychologists (MASP) will be hosting a full day Professional Development presentation at the Pavilion Atrium at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, MB. 

    Dr. Stephanie Bugden and Dr. Sheri-Lynn Skwarchuk from the University of Winnipeg will provide a one day presentation on research based math assessment and interventions. 

    Coffee, drinks, and lunch will be served. 

    More information about this presentation will be available soon, with a link for registration.

    CADDRA - Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance - is a not-for-profit member organization that supports medical and health professionals in the assessment and treatment of individuals with ADHD through education, guidelines, advocacy, and research. 

    The CADDRA Annual ADHD Conference will be in Manitoba for the first time on Saturday & Sunday, September 28-29. This will be their 20th annual conference and will be preceded by their 11th Annual ADHD Research Day and an ADHD Assessment and Management Primer for Healthcare Professionals on Friday, September 27th.
