Standards and Evaluation

MASP's Guideline for School Psychologists document serves as aspirational standards of practice for Manitoba School Psychologists. A companion document, Evaluation Rubric, is provided to School Psychologists as a self-assessment or supervision tool for MASP members.

As a professional association, MASP does not have a mandate to regulate the practice of School Psychology in our province; however, these two documents will encourage consistent parameters of practice to the benefit of students and families.

The Manitoba Association of School Psychologists is located on original lands of Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota, Dene and Oji-Cree peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We honour the Treaties that were signed on these lands and we acknowledge the harms of the past and present. We commit to a future of genuine partnership and reconciliation with Indigenous communities in this region by meaningful collaboration and mutually beneficial relationships.
