About MASP

The Manitoba Association of School Psychologists (MASP) is a professional organization representing school psychologists working in Manitoba since 1981. We believe in creating a community for networking between professionals. We are very active in advocating for the profession and we regularly provide professional development opportunities.

School Psychologists are dedicated to helping children and youth reach their academic, social, and emotional potential. Using evidence-based assessments, interventions, and best practice strategies, School Psychologists work with children individually, in groups, and school-wide. As well, School Psychologists collaborate with parents, and teachers to share knowledge about child development, learning, and behaviour in order to bring about positive change for all. The Manitoba Association of School Psychologists is located on original lands of Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota, Dene and Oji-Cree peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We honour the Treaties that were signed on these lands and we acknowledge the harms of the past and present. We commit to a future of genuine partnership and reconciliation with Indigenous communities in this region by meaningful collaboration and mutually beneficial relationships.
